OUTDOOR TUTORIAL #2

Germination

Hello again!!

Firstly thank you to the New Zealand Cannabis community for the awesome response to my tutorials ðŸ˜Š

NOTE:  plant your seeds. MID SEPTEMBER to early october for early - and as late as Mid December

Items you will need for this tutorial:

  • 1 x 40 litre "clear" plastic tub WITH LID (larger 60litre is you wish to plant over 50 seedlings)

  • 1 x sack or something along the lines that will handle some weight when being lifted

  • 1 x news paper

  • 1 x bag of seedling mix (again do not buy the cheapest stuff as they tend to be full of bugs) "yates black magic" is quite average but can do if there is nothing else, a fine potting mix i find works the best.

  • 1 x electric or hand drill ( highly recommend electric for the plastic so it doesnt split) with a drill piece slightly bigger than your average pen, youd ideally want to easily be able to thread a pen through your holes.

And of course your cannabis seeds! Buy yours at my online shop ;-)

  1. Start by getting your clear plastic tub remove the lid and set aside, drill 2 holes as either side of the center on the bottom of the tub.

  2. Next, only on the two wider sides of the plastic tub (leave the smaller sides with the handles untouched) drill 4 evenly spaced holes along what would be the center line of the top quarter of the tub on each side - a total of 8 holes only on the two big sides of the tub. NO holes on the two smaller sides. And no holes in the lid.

  3. Now get your sack, make sure its as clean as possible, sturdy, and not rotting. I just use the whole sack as is, I dont cut it. - Line the bottom of your tub aiming to get it in the tub as flat as possible, however, you want the sack to spread up all four sides of the tub as much as possible particularly reaching up the sides of the tub with NO holes (the smaller sides) up as high as half way on the small sides is ideal. And reaching up 3 to 5 cm on the larger sides (with the holes) is a good measurement for them.

  4. Next on top of the sack floor lay down three to four layers thick of news paper.

  5. Now pour in roughly 5kg of your seed raising mix, you want it to fill the tub to roughly a quarter full. Gently pat down.

  6. Now using your finger, a pencil or whatever - prod nice even spaced holes in the seed raising mix approximately the) depth of a cannabis seed and 5cm to 10cm apart depending how many you want to it fit in there.

  7. Drop your seeds into the holes and lightly cover them over so they are sealed.  Apply a light pressure and press down on the soil to house them in there, at this phase they'd much prefer a light fluffy soil than compressed.

  8. Now using a bottle with holes in the lid lightly SPRINKLE roughly 2 litres of straight water over the soil giving all of it a good soak. Add the lid, tape it shut with a couple of strips of tape.

She's all ready to go there!

Grab your day pack, load it with 1 x 5kg bag of nitrophoska, 2 x 8kg bags of sheep pellets, 1 x 3kg bag of lime, 1 x 3kg blood n bone. Tie the chicken mesh to the top of the day pack like u would a bed roll and chuck in your vehicle along with a good spade (sharpen the edge with an angle grinder) dont forget your clear plastic "tub of dirt" (with seeds all planted and watered), and get all that gear in to your primo grow spot you have previously found and cleared!

It is now time to make your garden bed, fence it, And leave your newly made humidity chamber in the spot to sprout your seeds and grow your seedlings in for the first 3 to 5 weeks.
When your seedlings are ready, on their 3rd or 4th set of leaves, they will easily and all at once lift out of your tub by grabbing the sack you left coming up on the small sides and lifting all of them out at once, then place the sack with all the seedlings over a slight mound to sort of split the soil all apart allowing you to easily get the seedlings out one by one and straight away and plant them in your charged up garden bed - The next tutorial
